"Stop and Smell the
Asphalt: Laughter & Love along the Highway of
Parenthood," is a literary romp in the side-splitting
tradition of
Erma Bombeck, Dave Barry and Anne
Lamott.
Reviewers describe this book as
"Laugh-out-loud funny" and "...hilarious, but not over the
top."
Veteran writer for television and print,
Lindy Batdorf has penned a feel-good book on parenting that
captivates the heart and smacks the funny bone. Swept along on
this hilarious, exhilarating ride, readers sense the passion
and experience every emotional gut-punch that inspired each
delightful true story.
What readers are
saying...
"...humor so refreshing that you’ll be going
back till the pages are worn and falling out!"
"...not only laugh-out-loud
reading, but excellent therapy...."
"This book is one journey you’ll
want to take over and over again..."
Lindy lives in Milwaukie, Oregon, with her husband Alan,
their two teenage sons, three little pug-dogs, one cat and
two-dozen diseased rose bushes. She’s a humorous, engaging
speaker and conference leader and has acted as chief editor for
several popular web resources. Her experience includes work as
an adjunct professor of journalism, writer/producer for major
television and radio outlets in the Northwest and writer for
publications including The Oregonian and Woman’s World
Magazine.
When not writing, Lindy enjoys
time with family and friends, playing with her pugs and
trying to save those lousy rose bushes.
